The aim of the course:
To teach students the underlying causes of the problems encountered in forestry, to analyze the problems with respect to socio-economic and cultural background of the people under consideration.

Contents of the Course
The importance of forest resources, general protection problems in Turkey and in the world, socio-economic status of people living in or near forests, the effect of encroachment, illegal felling and grazing on forest resources, socio-economic dimension of the problem and its integration into planning.
