To give information about erosion contribution of forest roads and the precautions to take.

Contents of the Course
Construction, drainage and maintenance of forest roads in mountainous regions. Torrent control and road bank stabilization for forest roads in mountains. Hydrology concerns for forest roads. Impacts of forest roads and forestry activities on sediment transport in streams. Low-cost methods for the control of sedimentation from forest roads and forest roads of the models used to estimate sediment (WEPP: Road, SEDMODL and STJ-EROS).
