The aim of the course:
The primary goal of Basic Translation II course is to enable students to translate complex sentences in correct order and grammar. Students are expected to analyze the sentences in terms of noun, adjective and adverb clauses and combine them in a suitable way. In this course, students get aware of the structural difficulties in sentences and they learn how to deal with these difficulties.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : generalize the language data for possible uses in other contexts and will acquire foundation rules of the translation.12,14,151,6
LO - 2 : interpret the meaning of the sentence or the text and they will be able to decide which language chunks to use correctly in sentence level.12,14,151,6
LO - 3 : translate the sentence or the texts in relative ease. To do so, they will be able to transform their12,14,151,6
LO - 4 : draw inferences about the context and find the equivalent meaning of the sentence or the texts. 12,14,151,6

Contents of the Course
Following Basic Translation I, students are required to translate long sentences composed of noun, adjective and adverb clauses in Basic Translation II course. The number of clauses get higher than the previous term. Vocabularies and sentence structures are considered deeply. In this way, students will be aware of the translation procedure.The translarion texts are taken from newspaper, magazines, story books, etc. with a serious study.
