The aim of the course:
The course aims to provide the students with a general knowledge on physical chemistry by using some experimental techniques, to enable them to understand how chemical reactions develop to form new chemicals, to help them use their knowledge to understand the some measuring techniques for determination of the physical properties of the solids, liquids and gases, to teach them how to determine the physical and chemical properties of the chemical materials.

Contents of the Course
Temperature effect on the volume of the a gas. Variation of surface tension with temperature. Determination of Heat of notralization. Determination of reaction heat. Determination of molecular weight with Rast Method. Determination of melting and freezing point for a solid. Determination of the molecular weight by using water steam distillation. Determination of melting point, excess heating degree and latent vapor heat of water. Determination of dispersion coefficient. Determination of solid and liquid density.
