The aim of the course:
Teaching how to use the Ottoman Turkish dictionaries with particular emphasis on the Arabic and Persian phrases in the Ottoman Turkish. Improving of grammar knowledge and reading of handwriting materials. Skill on the selected texts varying from the 13th to the 19th centuries

Contents of the Course
Studies on important manuscripts and their transcriptions, information concerning Ottoman archives, the grammar and spelling of Ottoman Turkish. Particullarly studies on Ottoman scripts such as rika, divani, talik. Reading and evaluating berat, firman, manuscripts, cadis records and sultanic registers and also explain Ottoman historical terms and expressions.
