The aim of the course:
Evaluating the gravity anomalies originating from density differences and revealing the underground existing and desired target masses. Finding the boundaries and depths of economic formations by inversion.

Programme OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
PO - 1 : Design gravity geophysical surveys and adapt techniques to achieve specific exploration objectives.1,31
PO - 2 : Write computer programs to model the geophysical responses measured in a variety of gravity techniques.1,31
PO - 3 : Process and invert a variety of gravity geophysical measurements into their causative earth models.1,31
PO - 4 : To be able to calculate the topography of underground interfaces with inverse solution technique.1,31
CTPO : Contribution to programme outcomes, TOA :Type of assessment (1: written exam, 2: Oral exam, 3: Homework assignment, 4: Laboratory exercise/exam, 5: Seminar / presentation, 6: Term paper), PO : Learning Outcome
