The aim of the course:
The students should obtain advanced knowledge on the theoretical fundamentals of wave propagation , and applications.

Contents of the Course
Fundamentals of electromagnetic wave propagation. Waves in inhomogeneous and layered media. Wave propagation in anisotropic media. Ground-wave propagation. Wave propagation over a Spherical Earth. Ionospheric propagation, tropospheric propagation, microwave and millimetre-wave propagation. Receiving antennas. Environmental noise. Antenna noise temperature.
