The aim of the course:
It is aimed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to learn about diseases that may occur in different body systems and to manage these diseases appropriately in the pre-hospital setting and in the emergency room.

Contents of the Course
Evaluation of psychiatric diseases, principles of patient evaluation in psychiatry, treatment methods applied in psychiatry, psychiatric emergencies, emergency care in psychiatric diseases, pregnancy and puerperium, prenatal care and follow-up calendar, fetal evaluation, normal labor, postpartum mother and baby care, postpartum of the newborn. stages of care, emergencies that may occur in a newborn, care in risky pregnancies and obstetric emergencies, emergency care in Rh incompatibility, miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, preeclampsia-eclampsia, Gynecological, pediatric, geriatric and oncological emergencies and urgent care

 Week 3Principles of patient evaluation in psychiatry, psychiatric evaluation, treatment methods applied in psychiatry
 Week 4Psychiatric emergencies, approach to a patient exhibiting violent behavior; emergency care in psychiatric diseases, personality disorders
 Week 5Anxiety disorders, somatoform disorders, mood disorders, schizophrenic disorders, organically caused mental disorders and emergency care
 Week 6Pregnancy and puerperium, reproductive system anatomy and physiology, effects of pregnancy on organs and systems, pregnancy symptoms and diagnosis, prenatal care and follow-up calendar, fetal evaluation, puerperium, postpartum care, problems that may develop during the puerperal period, problems that may occur during breastfeeding
 Week 7Normal labor and its stages, birth terminology, labor phases, postpartum mother and baby care, postpartum care stages of the newborn, emergencies that may occur in the newborn and emergency care.
 Week 8Care in risky pregnancies and obstetric emergencies, cardiovascular diseases and pregnancy, renal diseases and pregnancy, diabetes and pregnancy, other systemic diseases that may affect pregnancy
 Week 9Mid-term Exam
 Week 10Rh incompatibility, prenatal bleeding, miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, preeclampsia-eclampsia and emergency care
 Week 11Gynecological emergencies - I, menstrual cycle disorders, sexually transmitted genital tract infections, other infectious diseases, adnexal torsion
 Week 12Gynecological emergencies - II, approach to pediatric patients, at-risk babies and children, evaluation of pediatric patients, pediatric patient evaluation triangle, primary, secondary and tertiary evaluation
