Basic biochemical techniques to gain the theoretical and practical competence.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :

LO - 2 : acquire basic skills such as preparation of buffers , pH measurement, homogenizing ,making centrifuges.10,11,12,241,4,

The importance of water in biochemistry , water types and purification techniques for biochemical assays , sample preparation techniques in biochemistry, biological buffers, cell disruption and homogenization, centrifugation, extraction and pre-separation techniques, chromatographic methods, electrophoretic methods, polymerase chain reaction (PCR) , immunological techniques , HPLC, spectroscopic methods in biochemistry
