The aim of the course:
The objectives of the course are; to give students the basic principles and concepts about flexible pavement design and to make students able to design flexible pavements.

Design of flexible airport pavements : Corps of engineers (CBR) method. The Federal Duiation Administration (FAA) method. Canadian Department of Transportation (CDOT) method. The asphalt institute method. Secondary (General Duiation) airports. Design of flexible highway pavements. Differences between airport and highway design concepts. Differences in design method. AASHO flexible-pavement design. Multilayer Elastic Analysis. The asphalt institute design. National crushed stone association design. California method of design.
