The aim of the course:
To provide students necessary knowledge so as to protect from earthquake damages

Contents of the Course
Incident of earthquake aspects to engineering. Wave equation and solution. Eartquake waves propagation. Vibration of soils during earthquake. Magnitude of earthquake, and seismic zones. Record of earthquake motion. Dynamics of vibrating systems. Earthquake codes prepared using various methods. Intensity scales. Earthquake analysis of structures with various methods. The principles of earthquake resistance design of structures.
