The aim of the course:
To understand main terms which are used in ?textbook analysis in science education?. To know main principles about investigation and evaluation of text books. To understand main structure and working process on choosing, writing and distributing of text books in Turkish education system. To conceive main traits of well done text books. To apply scientific methods in duration of choosing textbook. To form alternative perspectives about choosing textbooks. To form teacher identity peculiar and suitable own qualities. To practice main principles about choosing and using textbooks in-service.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :

Contents of the Course
The critical examination of the ministry approved text books and curricula in regard to contents; language, clarity, suitability to the level of the students, format, appeal, contribution, their contribution to meaningful learning process; their easier of use in the education process
