The aim of the course:
The course aims to provide the students with a general knowledge of rural development, the main processes, aims, politics and specifications. To give them a perspective to develop the forest villages. The main problems and their solving methods for development of the forest villages

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : describe poverty and development 6,7,10
LO - 2 : explain the relationship between rural development and poverty.
LO - 3 : evaluate the solution techniques of the poverty
LO - 4 : present before an audience the results and outcome of any exercise
CTPO : Contribution to programme outcomes, TOA :Type of assessment (1: written exam, 2: Oral exam, 3: Homework assignment, 4: Laboratory exercise/exam, 5: Seminar / presentation, 6: Term paper), LO : Learning Outcome

 
Contents of the Course
Development and Underdevelopment, Rural Development, Forestry and Development Strategy under the Rural Development main headings, rural development strategies, rural development approaches, rural development projects, diversification of rural economic faaliylet and development, towards new emerging in the field of rural development and approaches, countryside in Turkey development policies and practices, the importance of rural development in the forest, development of Areas forestry policy and forest villages in Turkey.
