The aim of the course:
The course aims to provide the students with a general knowledge of soil erosion and flood control. Enable them to understand the main principles, processes, prediction, measurement and control methods of the soil erosion. Learning the controlling and reorganizing techniques of the torrent control and river basin management. Understanding the avalanche, their processes and control methods.

Learning OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : Describe soil erosion and their main processes, measurement techniques and control methods.1,3,51,4,6,
LO - 2 : Explain the interactive relations between land use, soil properties, vegetation cover and soil erosion.1,3,51,4,6,
LO - 3 : Apply various soil erosion predicting and control techniques to the degraded land surfaces.1,3,51,4,6,
LO - 4 : Evaluate the flood and sediment control techniques and structures. 1,3,51,4,6,
