The aim of the course:
The aim of this course is; to analyze and discuss in depth the democratic developments in Turkey's modernization process, especially in the last two hundred years, by revealing the theoretical and historical background of democracy.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
PO - 1 : Recognize the concept of democracy
PO - 2 : Learn the historical backround of modern democracy
PO - 3 : Analyze Ottoman political institutions
PO - 4 : Discuss the problems of modern Turkish democracy
