The aim of the course:
The objective of this course is to help students understand the socio-political and socio-economic conditions of the environment they live in by deduction from comprehending the main tenets of the political and economic doctrines and ideologies that have laid the intellectual foundations of 20th century and today.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : Comprehend the essence of the political and economic doctrines since 19th century until today.
LO - 2 : Enrich their intellectual capacity by developing their conceptual thinking skills.
LO - 3 : Understand the underlying characteristic factors behind the developments in their social and political environment.
LO - 4 : Comprehend the significance of the role of political and economic doctrines on the fate of the societies and states.

Contents of the Course
In this course the main political and economic concepts, doctrines and ideologies that shaped the socio-political and socio-economic structure of the world in the 20th century is presented in a historical and chronological perspective.
