The aim of the course:
Determining a research subject in line with examination and evaluation of the sources of the Republican History, source research and material collection, evaluation of information, documents and findings, classification and spelling using scientific criteria.
 
Learning OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : Examine and evaluate concepts, ideas and data related to the discipline of history with social science research methods, identify, analyze and discuss issues that have not been researched yet, and develop recommendations based on scientific findings and evidence related these issues.1
LO - 2 : Learn especially the historians who were pioneers in the Republican Historiography and the contents of important history books, the sources they benefited from, their influences and the studies about them4,6
LO - 3 : Evaluate Republican History sources critically and examine Ottoman sources by considering the social conditions in which they were written.7,9

Contents of the Course
Researching the subjects of the modern history by students according to their interests, determining the methodology within the framework of the subjects and time limits, preparing students for scientific studies, presentation and criticism of the seminars prepared by the students.
