The aim of the course:
To inform students about reaching of domesticl and foreign, primary and secondary sources and how to acces and use these materials for their studies to about the history of the Ottoman Empire between the end of the 18th century and the 20th century.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : Get information about the domestic and foreign archives that they can use in the Late Modern Ottoman History studies.2,61,
LO - 2 : get information about the Ottoman chronicles, sefaretnames, salnames, newspapers and magazines etc. belonging to this period 11,151,
LO - 3 : get information about the published sefaretnames, embassy reports, memoirs and letter collections belonging to foreign ambassadors and consuls who served in the Ottoman Empire during this period.1,5,111,
LO - 4 : get information about the literature as memoirs, travel books, biography, belonging to local and foreign travelers who visited the Ottoman Empire in this period.6,111,
LO - 5 : get information about current domestic and foreign publications related to this period.11,121,
LO - 6 : use all these sources of knowledge in their scientific studies.4,71,

Contents of the Course
In the content of this course, access and use of domestic and foreign archives, which are the primary sources of Late Modern Ottoman History, sources such as chronicles, salname, sefaretname, travelogues, letters, memoirs, biography, and how to use them in scientific studies will be found.
