The aim of the course:
They will be able to easily perceive how the planned resettlement movement of the Ottoman Empire, which was carried out during the establishment period, supported the state and contributed to its growth in the following stages. They will be able to easily comprehend the chaos process experienced by the state and the search for a way out, together with the phenomenon of migration, which is the most important destruction brought about by wars and occupations when the Ottoman Empire began to decline.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : Students will be able to perceive the fact that the Turks' resettlement movement in the Balkans, which started systematically during the establishment period of the Ottoman Empire, strengthened its permanence in the region in the fut1,2,5,61,

Contents of the Course
The settlement and migration movement, which started with the spread of the Ottomans in the Balkans from the second half of the 14th century, continued even in the following period. Under what conditions and how the settlement and migration movement in this region was carried out, its administrative and military contributions, the process of assuming the Turkish-Islamic identity of the region will be emphasized. With the beginning of the decline of the Ottoman Empire, this time the migration of Turkish and Muslim elements in the lost lands since the second half of the 18th century, the extent of those who migrated from the Balkans, the Crimea and the Caucasus to Anatolia and Istanbul, and the measures taken by the state will be discussed.
