The aim of the course:
To know the sources of information, from the collapse of the Western Roman Empire to the end of the Mamluks State, to see the general panorama about the medieval Islamic world and to explain the situation of the Turkish World in the Middle Ages in a comparative way.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : The student will have source information about Medieval Historical Sources and will learn the ways of using information through sample texts.1,31,

LO - 3 : The student will be able to comprehend the problems related to Medieval Historical Sources, offer solutions to them and make comparative studies.12,131,

Contents of the Course
Medieval as a concept, Medieval Turkish history, Turkish, Arabic, Persian, Byzantine resources on Medieval history, Resources in other languages, Medieval geography books, Travelogues, Mongolian main source, Timur and his sons period resources.
