The aim of the course:
To define the Turkish Seljuks as the ancestors of today's modern Turkey and western Turks.
 
Learning OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : Will be able to explain the conquest of Anatolia by the Turks and the process of being a homeland in all its aspects.1,51,
LO - 2 : Will be able to evaluate the role of the Turkmen Principalities and Seljuks established after the Manzikert Victory in the transformation of Anatolia into Turkey.5,81,
LO - 3 : Will be able to evaluate the rise and civil development processes of the Turkish Seljuk State.12,13,141,
LO - 4 : Will be able to determine the historical roles of the Turkmen Principalities established after the Mongol invasion in Anatolia.4,81,

Contents of the Course
The conquest of Anatolia by the Turks and their homeland, the Turkmen Principalities established after the Manzikert Victory, the establishment and development of the Turkish Seljuk State, the socio-cultural and socio-economic life of the Turkish Seljuk State, the Mongol Invasion and the disintegration process of the Turkish Seljuk State and Tavaif -i Mülûk principalities, The Place of the Turkish Seljuk State in Turkish History.
