The aim of the course:
The aim of the course is to comprehend how the political, economic, military and religious activities of the Roman civilization, one of the most important civilizations of antiquity, were shaped in line with which parameters and to understand how the tradition of change and transformation brought by each age had an impact on the Romans. In addition, it is to determine what kind of contributions Rome, as a long-lasting state, made to the Mediterranean, Africa, Europe and Anatolia geographies and how it has guided human history in the process extending to the present day. In this context, the main objective of the course is to understand the foundation of Rome, its transition to the republic and the military, economic, religious and cultural background of the Romans in the geographies they ruled.

Contents of the Course
The scope of this course is the period between April 21, 753 BC, the traditional founding date of Rome, and 27 BC, when Rome transformed from a republic to an empire.
