The aim of the course:
The lecture will make a contribution to the understanding of the political geography designed by western powers in the Middle East after the first world war.

Contents of the Course
Firstly, the political atmosphere of Ottoman Empire and reasons and results of this after Vienna's second Turkish siege are going to be discoursed in the term. After that effects of the industrial revolution centered England on Ottoman State and other countries, economic and political policies pursued by England and other western european countries against Ottoman Empire and other parts of the world are told. The mentioned issues will be evaluated centered on orientalism.
