Introduction (definitions, use of groundwater, groundwater compare with surface water) Evolution of groundwater (hydrological cycle, rock properties, distribution of groundwater, aquifers and aquitards) Springs (classification, calculation of flow rate and discharge water volume) Groundwater movement (hydraulic heads, hydraulic gradient, Darcy?s law) Well hydraulics (permenant and transituar regimes, pumping tests) Groundwater quality (ionic balance, diagrams) Sea water intrusion in coastal aquifersHydrologic elements (precipitation, evaporation, transpiration, infiltration, runoff and hydrologic budget) Exploitation of groundwater |
