The aim of the course:
The aim of lesson; It teaches basic information about basic chemistry laws, matter and its structure, structures and formulas of chemical substances, chemical reactions, preparing solutions at a certain concentration, acids and bases.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : Recognizes the chemicals used in laboratories, can calculate the concentrations of solutions related to these chemicals and prepare the necessary solutions.1,31,

Chemistry: From Alchemy to Chemistry, Chemistry Disciplines and Working Areas of Chemists, Symbolic Language of Chemistry, Introduction of Glass Materials Used in the Laboratory, Occupational Health and Safety in Laboratory Applications 2. Basic Concepts: Introduction, Matter and States of Matter, Classification of Matter According to Composition, Physical and Chemical Properties of Matter, Measurement Systems 3. Atom Structure and Atomic Models 4. Concept of Mole, Definition of Molar Mass, Preparation of Solution with Molar Concentration from Solid Matter 5. Preparation of Molar Concentration Solution from Liquid Substance 6. Concept of Osmolarity and Osmolar Solutions, Preparation of Osmolar Solution, Hypertonic and Hypotonic Liquids 7. Determination of Hydrate (Crystal) Water 8. Dilution Procedures 9. Solutions, % Concentration Solutions, Calculation of % Volume/Volume Solutions 10. Calculating % Mass/Volume of Solutions 11.
