This course is designed to introduce doctoral and graduate students to the process of scientific research in the social sciences. It is not just about ?research methods? -empirical data collection and analysis but about the entire ?research process? from start to end but also about more important issues in research such as theorizing and thinking like a researcher, which often constitute prerequisites of empirical research. The course also deals with essential concepts, and does complementary readings by summarizing all important concepts.
