The aim of the course:
the aim of this course is to make students aware of semantics in terms of its background and theoretical assumptions, meaning and language relations.

Contents of the Course
Issues such as meaning, semantics, descriptive, social and expressive meaning, meanings and readings; meaning and logic; meaning relations; predications will be covered throughout the term. Besides, meaning components, meaning and language comparisons will be introduced to students to have an idea about theoretical approaches to semantics.
