The aim of the course:
Giving information on how poetry studies should be done in terms of rhetoric, based on texts. To make comparative analysis experiments on sample texts taken from the leading poets of Classical Turkish Poetry.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
PO - 1 : Learn the characteristics and historical development of rhetoric.1,3,

PO - 3 : Recognize the theory of classical literature by rhetoric.

Contents of the Course
The external structure of the poem: rhyme, meter; syllabic and aruz meters. Classical Turkish literature verse forms. To give detailed information about the rhetoric sciences Meânî, Beyân and Bedi that will help the researcher in the interpretation of the poem.
