The aim of the course:
To give general information about orofacial pain,temporomandibular joint disorders and treatment, treatment of developmental orofacial region diseases, cleft lip and palate and its treatment, sleep apnea and treatment modalities, ortognatic surgery requiring professional skills and knowledge, how to consultate with specialists if necessary. Çene yüz bölgesini ilgilendiren ve uzmanlık düzeyinde özel bilgi ve beceriyi gerektiren Orofasiyal Ağrı, Temporomandibuler Bozukluklar, Dentofasiyal Deformiteler, Dudak-Damak Yarıkları ve Obstrüktif Uyku Apnesinin etiyolojisi, epidemiyolojisi, teşhisi, ayırıcı tanısı, doğru tanı ve tedavi planlaması yapabilmek için hasta muayenesi yöntemlerinin ve basit ve ileri tedavi yöntemlerinin öğretilmesi, çene cerrahisine yönlendirilecek hasta grupları ve olgular konusunda öğrencilerin bilinçlendirilmesi amaçlamaktadır.

LO - 5 : Defines and classifies non-surgical treatments of TMJ internal irregularities Distinguish the use of non-surgical treatment methods of TMJ internal irregularities in the correct indication Knows non-surgical treatment protocols (out of hospital) of TMJ internal irregularities 71,
LO - 6 : Defines and classifies developmental disorders of the oral region Knows and explains the embryologic development of oral developmental disorders Knows the treatment protocols of developmental disorders of the oral region 71,

LO - 10 : Lists the surgical treatments of cleft lip and palate Explain the surgical treatments of cleft lip and palate, distinguish surgical planning Lists the surgical treatment methods in individuals with cleft lip and palate Knows obstructive sleep apnea and orthognathic surgery.71,
