The aim of the course:
The aim of this course is to explain dental trauma in a comprehensive manner, and to teach diagnosis and treatment plan.

Contents of the Course
Treatment methods depending on each case as well as crown fractures, crown-root fractures, root fractures, luxation injuries that may occur as a result of trauma are taught in this course. Clinical and radiographical examination of the patient with trauma is also presented. The stage of development, the period between the trauma and treatment, accompanying attachment injury should a complicated crown occur and, restorative treatment plan varying according to each case, vital pulp treatment and methods, treatment of non-vital pulp are also presented. Definiton, incidence, biologic considerations, diagnosis, management, healing patterns and complications of treatment in crown root and root fractures are presented. Definiton, incidence and biologic results are taught in luxation injuries. In addition to preparation of the root of the tooth to be replanted, preparation of the socket, splinting procedures, soft tissue management and type of endodontic treatment, temporary restoration, permanent restoration are taught.
