The aim of the course:
To comprehend the importance of measurement and assessment in education, to comprehend different measurement and assessment approaches, to develop the skills of designing instrument used for measurement and assessment, to comprehend alternative measurement and assessment techniques

Contents of the Course
The place and importance of measurement and assessment in education, basic concepts related to measurement and assessment, characteristics found in measurement instruments (validity, reliability, usability) , measurement instrument used in education and their properties, traditional measurement instruments (written exam, short-answer exams, true-false exams, multiple-choice exams, oral exams, homeworks) , instrument for knowing students in detail (observation, interview, performance assessment, research paper, research projects, self-assessment, attitude scales) , basic statistical calculation about the result of measurement, assessment of learning outcomes, designing measurement instrument about the field
