The use of traditional and modern biotechnological methods in plant and animal production in the food production

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
PO - 1 : Knowledge about the definition and application of biotechnology would be .
PO - 2 : Understand the importance of biotechnology.
PO - 3 : developments in the field of biotechnology is to evaluate the positive and negative effects
PO - 4 : Have knowledge about important in terms of food biotechnology bacteria , mold and yeast on the type and characteristics
PO - 5 : Learn biotechnological developments in animal and vegetable food production

Contents of the Course
The definition of biotechnology , application areas and biotechnological problems in Turkey, new developments in biochemical system applications in industrial size , the production of some organic acid fermentation , acid and alcohol fermentation , Fermentation with certain amino acids , vitamins , growth factors, and the production of some carbohydrate . Some basic procedures for fermentation , important group of enzymes
