The aim of the course:
This course covers the definition and classification of biomaterials, as well as their role in biomedical applications. Topics include biocompatibility, material-body interactions, properties and uses of metallic, polymeric, ceramic, and composite biomaterials. Orthopedic implants, dental materials, cardiovascular biomaterials, and biomaterials in tissue engineering are studied with examples. Recent advances and developments in biomaterials are also discussed.

Learning OutcomesCTPOTOA
