The aim of the course:
The aim of this course is provide the students with the knowledge of the formation of magmatic rocks. and their classification.

Contents of the Course
Introduction to igneous rocks, characteristics of magma, types of magma, temperature of magma, plütonic rocks, hypabyssal intrusions, plütons, volcanic igneous rocks, general chemical classification, 2-component phase diagrams, solid solution systems, exsolution, the Earth's internal structures, origine of magmas, magmatism and plate tectonics, divergene plates magmatism, convergene plates magmatism, intraplate magmatisms, magmatic differantiations, crystal fractionations, magma mixing, crystal assimilation, and contaminations, igneous rocks of oceanic basins, igneous rocks of continental lithosphere, phyroclastic rocks.

 Week 5Relationship between magmatism, plate tectonics and igneous rock. Physicochemical properties of magma. Magma types and general characters.
 Week 6Cooling and solidification (crystallization) of magma. Crystallization stages of magma.
 Week 7Evolution of magma. Factors affecting the composition of magma.
 Week 8Settlement/presence forms of igneous rocks in nature (A-Intrusion/Plutonic/Intrusive/Granitoid/Ultramafic) and petrological meanings
