The aim of the course:
The student should know what the science of rhetoric means, how it emerged and why it is learned. The student should know the main sections of the science of rhetoric, the branches and subjects of each section.
 
Programme OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
PO - 1 : Learning the basic works and authors of Turkish language and literature as well as some Eastern (Persian and Arabic) literatures.2,41,
PO - 2 : Graduates become aware of the different aspects of Turkish language and literature in time and space, and can comment on and analyze them.
PO - 3 : Students can explain the historical stages of Turkish literature and their characteristics.
PO - 4 : The student acquires the knowledge and equipment to teach the discipline/literature in educational institutions.
PO - 5 : The student acquires literary knowledge on the subject.

Contents of the Course
Defines the terms eloquence and fluency. Learns eloquence, eloquence, metaphor, simile, truth, metaphor, allegory and its varieties. Learns news and constructive sentences.
