The aim of the course:
Provide students a background to analyse and control nonlinear dynamical systems.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :

PO - 3 : use simulation tools such as Matlab and Simulink to analyse and control nonlinear systems1,3

Contents of the Course
General properties of linear and nonlinear systems, Phase Plane Analysis, Qualitative Analysis of Nonlinear Systems, The Center Manifold theorem, Controllability & Observability of Nonlinear Systems, Stability of Nonlinear Systems, Feedback Linearization, Sliding Control Theory, Nonlinear Observers.
