The aim of the course:
The aim of this course is to increase the awareness of sociology students about immigration which is becoming increasingly important for Turkey and the world, to inform about national and international migration and social outcomes and to think about social problems caused by immigration.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :

LO - 5 : To gain the ability to collect, interpret and analyze data in this literary area by studying the phenomenon of migration from a sociologi81,
LO - 6 : understand the discussion and problem areas of the migration phenomenon, thus enriching the sociological perspective and gaining the ability to use conceptual tools.81,

Contents of the Course
As an interdisciplinary study area, Migration Sociology tries to understand and explain the causes of migration as one of the most important forms of social movement, its consequences, the new spatial adaptations of immigrants, and the relations with the new social structure within the sociology discipline. In this context, in this course, immigration and migration theories, business migration and migration issues, international migration and the emergence of migrants, problems, debates and their impact on societies will be discussed.
