In this course, rayah, military and bureaucratic parts of the Ottoman society are discussed.Devshirm and merit systems are examined, the transition from Ottoman state to the Turkish nation state and the proces nationalization are emphasized. In this framework the formation of modern Turkey, religious, economic, education and political are extensive studied. |
