This course focuses on the transition process from Ottoman state and to Turkish nation-state model and the construction of national identity. In this context, the historical background of the social structure of Turkey, Turkish modernization, the meaning of the Republic in the context of social change and transformation, the formation of modern Turkey and politics, education, religion, and economic institutions will be analysed in a comprehensive manner. |
