The aim of the course:
This course aims to teach students the basic concepts of political sociology and acquaint them with analysis of the dominant sociological theories of politics and the necessary accumulation of knowledge for analysis of political processes and facts

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : identify basic consepts and theories of political sociology1,2,3,41,
LO - 2 : understand the field and the boundaries of political sociology and position it within the social sciences1,2,3,41,
LO - 3 : can address the political phenomena and processes with the sociological perspective and produce solutions1,2,3,61,
LO - 4 : analyse relationship between political culture and political processes1,2,3,51,
LO - 5 : acquaint with the form and content of the Ottoman Empire and the Turkish political culture1,2,3,51,

Contents of the Course
In this lesson, the basic concepts of political sociology, political management style, power, civil society, political culture, the state apparatus, the general public, democracy, propaganda, fundamental political transformations in the Ottoman Empire and the republic, national political trends are discussed.
