The aim of the course:
The aim of this course is to teach students basic sociological concepts, trends and theories.
 
Learning OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : define basic concepts of sociology1,2,3
LO - 2 : explain the basic theories of sociology1,2,3
LO - 3 : establish a relationship between theoretical knowledge and social events and facts1,2,3
LO - 4 : associate the concepts and stages of sociology with everyday life and national culture 1,2,3
LO - 5 : explaine and associating theories and methods over again according to results 1,2,3

Contents of the Course
In this course, students will learn about introductionary sociology, history of sociological thinking, basic concepts of sociology, contemporary sociological theories, sociological research techniquies, social groups, social crime, socialization, policy, religion, family, economy and society, globalizaton.
