The aim of the course:
To ensure identifing, defining and discussing the social - economic and physical problems of a part of the city determined as the study area in relation to the city as a whole and in line with upper-scale plan decisions and to reveal conservation and/or regeneration/transformation oriented plan and design desicions with strategic approach for a part of the city determined as the study area

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : learn the analysis types needed for the conservation-oriented urban plan and design 6,10,14,215,6,
LO - 2 : learn to state the potentials, problems, threats and opportunities of the study area 6,10,14,185,6,

Contents of the Course
Approach to the natural and cultural heritage of the city, reading its historical layers and determining its place within the whole of the city, producing alternative plans and design decisions with approaches and methods to transfer historical values ??to future generations in a contemporary city and presenting them with legal framework, technical reports and graphic expressions.

 Week 8determining the dynamics, thematic and theoretical approaches that will guide synthesis and conservation-oriented planning and design. Transportation / function zones, design sub-zones / stages, etc.
 Week 9MIDTERM EXAM WEEK
 Week 10Determination of areas to be carried out individually. Producing decisions regarding the implementation zoning plan and design for conservation purposes. To analyze the formation principles of historical environments and to determine the forms of intervention in line with the determined conservation approach. (1/2000 and/or 1/1000 scale)
 Week 11producing plan desicions and design principles for conservation-oriented planning (1/2000, 1/1000, 1/500 scale)
 Week 12INTERMEDIATE JURY
 Week 13INTERMEDIATE JURY continue planning and design work (1/2000, 1/1000, 1/500 scale)
 Week 14discussing the implementation process of the plan, its stages and desicion regarding the administrative framework
