Definition and characteristics of structural geology: structural features. Concept of structural analysis: descriptive analysis, kinematic analysis, dynamic analysis. Descriptive analysis: application to solution of the structural problems of the technique of stereographic projection. Kinematic analysis: rigid body deformation, non-rigid rock deformation (strain) , deformation, deformation ellipsoid, deformation fields and deformation structures within deformation ellipsoid, rotational and non-rotational deformation, general characteristics of deformation ellipsoid. Dynamaic analysis: stress, stress ellipsoid, relations between stress and fracture. Factors effecting on deformation of the rocks: effects of temperature, time, fluids, confining pressure, isotropy and inhomogenity. Faults: classification and morphology of faults, kinematic of fault, normal faults, strike slip faults, thrust faults, dynamic analysis of the faults. Folds: opinions related to mekanic of fold, geometric analysis of folds, geometric classification of folds, isogonal classification of folds, mechanic of fold, stereographic projection of folds, π and β diagrams.
