The aim of the course:
To be able to make technical drawings, which are the technical language of engineering and provide the connection between design and manufacturing, accurately and understandably, to test whether the machine to be created can work theoretically in a computer environment (on a 3D model) before manufacturing, and to gain the ability to read technical drawings.

Learning OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : Will have the knowledge to do 3D modeling of all machine elements.2,73,4,
LO - 2 : You will learn how to obtain three views from the 3D model of machine elements in 2D, how to take appropriate sections and how to dimension the element.2,73,4,
LO - 3 : They will gain the ability to design and assemble all the elements of a machine they have in mind in a 3D environment, create the machine in a computer environment, and test it theoretically.2,73,4,
LO - 4 : Thus, he/she will learn technical drawing, the spoken language of mechanical engineers, to a sufficient extent.2,73,4,
CTPO : Contribution to programme outcomes, TOA :Type of assessment (1: written exam, 2: Oral exam, 3: Homework assignment, 4: Laboratory exercise/exam, 5: Seminar / presentation, 6: Term paper), LO : Learning Outcome

Contents of the Course
Introduction of basic commands of computer programs for three-dimensional (3D) drawing, creation of 3D models of machine elements such as removable fasteners, wedges, pins, rivets, belts, pulleys, bearings, gears, obtaining three views from models, creation of appropriate sections, dimensioning of elements, creation of assembly of a working machine using such machine elements, obtaining appropriate views and sections from assembly drawing, numbering of machine elements forming assembly and preparation of assembly title block will be learned.
