| ÖK-1 : | demonstrate advanced English language skills in listening comprehension, oral expression, reading comprehension and written expression. |

| ÖK-2 : | interact and communicate successfully in both English and Turkish in a variety of social and professional settings (e.g., with friends/family, colleagues, school administrators, students, and in giving formal or informal presentations). |

| ÖK-3 : | understand and describe the language acquisition process in children and adults, and explain the various learning/pedagogical theories that support our current knowledge in this area. |

| ÖK-4 : | describe the various traditional and contemporary approaches to language teaching and successfully prepare and deliver lessons according to each of these methods. In addition, they will articulate the role that an understanding of teaching methodologies may play in their own decision-making and classroom practice. |

| ÖK-5 : | recognize the communicative functions of language and successfully integrate the communicative aspects of English as a foreign language in their teaching. |

| ÖK-6 : | create appropriate evaluation tools to measure student performance according to various learning objectives, to include formative and summative assessment types, as well as tools for learner self-assessment. |
