Programın Öğrenim Kazanımları :
Bu bölümü başarı ile tamamlayan öğrenciler :
ÖK-1 : demonstrate advanced English language skills in listening comprehension, oral expression, reading comprehension and written expression.
ÖK-2 : interact and communicate successfully in both English and Turkish in a variety of social and professional settings (e.g., with friends/family, colleagues, school administrators, students, and in giving formal or informal presentations).
ÖK-3 : understand and describe the language acquisition process in children and adults, and explain the various learning/pedagogical theories that support our current knowledge in this area.
ÖK-4 : describe the various traditional and contemporary approaches to language teaching and successfully prepare and deliver lessons according to each of these methods. In addition, they will articulate the role that an understanding of teaching methodologies may play in their own decision-making and classroom practice.
ÖK-5 : recognize the communicative functions of language and successfully integrate the communicative aspects of English as a foreign language in their teaching.
ÖK-6 : create appropriate evaluation tools to measure student performance according to various learning objectives, to include formative and summative assessment types, as well as tools for learner self-assessment.
ÖK-7 : exhibit an understanding of the principles of classroom management by formulating situation specific classroom management plans and applying them successfully in the classroom.
ÖK-8 : evaluate and select appropriate learning materials for various teaching contexts; they will design appropriate materials for classroom use in consideration of the principles and elements of visual design.
ÖK-9 : use technology and other learning resources effectively in and out of the classroom for the purposes of supporting the learning process and communicating with students and parents.
ÖK-10 : recognize the importance of ongoing professional development and develop a plan for their future development that extends beyond their undergraduate program.
ÖK-11 : recognize and explain the role of culture in language learning.
ÖK-12 : demonstrate a working knowledge of target culture and exhibit the ability to incorporate target, home and world cultures in the planning and implementation of language lessons.
ÖK-13 : recognize the issues and concerns related to multiculturalism and formulate a plan for incorporating multiculturalism effectively in the language classroom.
