FOUNDATION & HISTORY  
The subdivision was established in 2011. Master program has been carried out since the program's establishment in 2011 in Management.
QUALIFICATION AWARDED  
The students who have successfully completed a minimum of 24 local credits (equivalant to 60 ECTS credits) from thought courses delivered within the graduate programme of the department and in related fields, achieved a CGPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and prepared and successfully defended a thesis are given Master's Degree in Management.

ADMISSION & REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

- Students admitted to the program from outside the field are required to attend the Scientific Preparation Program and be successful in the courses determined based on their graduation status.
OBJECTIVE of THE PROGRAMME  
Master program helps to students for acquiring information to evaluate, interpret and attain with researching academic subjects.
RECOGNATION of PRIOR LEARNING  
The "Directive on Recognition of Prior Learning", Senate Decision No. 340 issued on July 28, 2023, has been accepted and entered into force regarding the students registered in all programs of Karadeniz Technical University to determine the principles to be followed for the recognition, crediting, and adaptation of the achievements acquired by the students at non-university institutions.

In this Directive,

- recognition of knowledge, skills, and competencies acquired with special interest through an exemption exam to be substituted as program courses,
- recognition of workplace and internship experiences through portfolio evaluation to be substituted as program courses,
- and the crediting of certificates received from accredited institutions regarding students' special interests are covered.

Announcements of courses included in the scope of recognition of prior learning, applications, and evaluation will be made on the dates specified in the academic calendar. Recognition of prior learning will offer numerous benefits to our students and employers. For our students, increasing professional development and mobility in the labour market, preventing repetition of education and waste of time, providing early graduation, reducing the cost of learning, encouraging learning, and increasing the student's motivation and self-confidence can be counted among the benefits of recognition of prior learning. From the employers' perspectives, it will contribute to satisfying skill or competence deficiencies in the workplace, reducing the time employees spend outside the workplace for training purposes, and thus using resources more efficiently.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS and REGULATIONS  
The study period of the program is four semesters and can be extended to a maximum of six semesters. By the end of the fourth semester at the latest, the student must have successfully completed minimum eight courses stated in the curriculum including compulsory and elective courses, one of which must be in English, corresponding to at least 24 credits (120 ECTS credits) in total as well as the ?Seminar? course and the ?Scientific Research and Publication Ethics? course (non-credit). Also, at the end of the sixth semester at the latest, the thesis study must be completed, and the student must be accepted successful in the thesis defense examination (see KTU Regulations on Graduate Education).
KTU Graduate Education Regulations
EXAMINATION, ASSESSMENT and GRADING REGULATIONS  
Students are subjected to a midterm exam, term study (project, seminar, quiz, assignment, or a second midterm exam), and final exam for each course. The share of the midterm exam in the final grade of the course is 30%, that of the term study is 20%, and that of the final exam is 50%. All exams are graded out of 100 points. For a student to be considered successful in a course, s/he must get at least a letter grade of ?CC? as the end-of-semester grade in that course.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS  
To graduate from the master’s degree program, it is necessary to successfully complete
- Minimum eight courses including compulsory courses, one of which must be in English, corresponding to at least 24 credits (120 ECTS credits) in total as well as the “Seminar” course and the “Scientific Research and Publication Ethics” course (non-credit) by the end of the fourth semester and
- The thesis study by the end of the sixth semester.

After graduation, students are working as a enterpreneur besides employee.

DEPARTMENTAL FACILITIES : 
It has a staff composed of 19 professors, 2 associated professors, 4 asistant professors and 5 researchers. Its fully equipped computer laboratories and technology classes, department prepares its students for the competitive labor market.
