FOUNDATION & HISTORY  
KTU Trabzon Vocational School was founded in 1986. The first students received in 1988-89. These students took place between the electrical section. The first graduates in 1991 had. Vocational School 's School of Engineering building is not until the year 1994-95 has served on the premises. Robert moved to campus in Trabzon Vocational School in 1994-95. The training process lasted until 2008. Since 2008 the KTU Akcaabat still moved to campus. Gained a better physical opportunities.838 by the end of 2013, this program 140 students graduated from the Electrical Technician.
QUALIFICATION AWARDED  
Successfully complete the associate's degree in education and Electrical Technician is the title.

ADMISSION & REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS  
1 - High School students are admitted to the group YGS about the candidates not to those who graduated from high school. 2 - vocational high schools or public high schools SDK from more than 165 points placed in areas of these sections, regardless of the area.
OBJECTIVE of THE PROGRAMME  
Students enrolled in the department for two years and four terms are subject to an intensive vocational training. 30 working days 30 working days the second year in the first year or second year, 60 business-day training is mandatory.
RECOGNATION of PRIOR LEARNING  
The "Directive on Recognition of Prior Learning", Senate Decision No. 340 issued on July 28, 2023, has been accepted and entered into force regarding the students registered in all programs of Karadeniz Technical University to determine the principles to be followed for the recognition, crediting, and adaptation of the achievements acquired by the students at non-university institutions.

In this Directive,

- recognition of knowledge, skills, and competencies acquired with special interest through an exemption exam to be substituted as program courses,
- recognition of workplace and internship experiences through portfolio evaluation to be substituted as program courses,
- and the crediting of certificates received from accredited institutions regarding students' special interests are covered.

Announcements of courses included in the scope of recognition of prior learning, applications, and evaluation will be made on the dates specified in the academic calendar. Recognition of prior learning will offer numerous benefits to our students and employers. For our students, increasing professional development and mobility in the labour market, preventing repetition of education and waste of time, providing early graduation, reducing the cost of learning, encouraging learning, and increasing the student's motivation and self-confidence can be counted among the benefits of recognition of prior learning. From the employers' perspectives, it will contribute to satisfying skill or competence deficiencies in the workplace, reducing the time employees spend outside the workplace for training purposes, and thus using resources more efficiently.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS and REGULATIONS  
Associate degree graduate students are enrolled in the Department of Electricity and Energy lesson plan in order to receive the degree of 120 ECTS for the course successfully and to be given 60 working days required to complete professional internships and internship reports.
EXAMINATION, ASSESSMENT and GRADING REGULATIONS  
The students midterm exam, final work (projects, seminars, quizzes, homework or a second mid-term exam) and are subject to the final exam. The mid-term exam, if any, mid-term and final exam is 50% of 50% of the work has contributed. All exams are graded out of 100 points is considered absolute. Final exam, students are required to obtain at least 40 points. Final notes converted into letter grades relative grade system. (AA), (BA), (BB), (CB) and (CC) that the students are considered successful one. Students at the end of each semester, they failed in the examination of that semester's courses make-up
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS  
The program is available (for a total of 120 ECTS) have successfully completed all courses and at least 2.0 weighted GPA of 4.00 and obtain professional internship with the internship report prepared by the students with passing grades are awarded associate degree in electrical technician.
OCCUPATIONAL PROFILES of GRADUATES  
Department graduates are working to set up own businesses, such as free electricity as a technician first TEDAS, TEIAS, Turk Telecom, the GSM companies, including energy transmission and distribution companies, communications infrastructure and service offering that requires companies or industrial automation business can find a very private and official institutions.
ACCESS to FURTHER STUDIES  
1-Part graduates without an examination of some programs can continue as a clear instruction. 3 applied to those successful compliance program attend class. Areas outside the (business, economics, etc.) will have a bachelor's degree in a field. 2-After the graduation exam to the vertical transfer sections, and designated areas (DGS) may continue their education by entering the fields.

DEPARTMENTAL FACILITIES : 
As well as theoretical courses in the department; Electromagnetic Applications, Transformer Applications and Experiments, Experiments, and Applications of Asynchronous Machine, Winding Technique Applications, Simulation and Applications of PLC, SCADA, simulations can be made available in laboratories.
