The aim of the course:
The course aims to provide the students to discuss Darwinian evolution and present scientific evidence for evolution, to describe the evolution of new species, to summarize the evolutionary history of the life on earth, to discuss the evolution of the primates.

Learning OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : discuss the historical development of the theory of evolution21
LO - 2 : compare the synthetic theory of evolution with Darwins original theory of evolution21
LO - 3 : summarize the evidence for evolution obtained from the fossil record21;3
LO - 4 : explain how evolutionary hypothesis can be tested experimentally21;5
LO - 5 : summarize how adaptation, variation, migration and mutation help evolution21
LO - 6 : explain the evidences for evolution derived from anatomy, morphology, biochemistry and embryology21
CTPO : Contribution to programme outcomes, TOA :Type of assessment (1: written exam, 2: Oral exam, 3: Homework assignment, 4: Laboratory exercise/exam, 5: Seminar / presentation, 6: Term paper), LO : Learning Outcome
