The aim of the course:
It is aimed to be able to learn and use ship equipment by providing seamanship information.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :

LO - 3 : use and maintenance different kind of ropes1,
LO - 4 : repair, maintenance and paint works on board1,2,
LO - 5 : operates and maintains deck equipment1,

Contents of the Course
Maneuvering and mooring of boats, deck equipment, Cranes, heavy boom, hallel equipment and cranes, rigging equipment, rigging of palangs, anchor and anchors equipment. Paint and scraper operations, Ropes and types, characteristics and measurement of ropes, parts and cutting powers of herbal, synthetic and steel wire ropes, protection and healthy use of ropes, preparing ropes for operations, controls and terms used in rope operations, ship operations with rope, introduction and construction of ship knots, piano works, sewing herbal rope and wire rope, maintenance attitude to deck entanglements, equipment on new generation ships, preparing the deck for inspection
