The aim of the course:
This course aims to comprehend the rules and practices of international maritime conventions and raise awareness of essential stakeholders in the maritime industry

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : Can have a comprehensive understanding of international maritime conventions5,6
LO - 2 : Can evaluate any situation related to the maritime field of international maritime conventions and present their studies5,6
LO - 3 : Becomes aware of the importance of maritime stakeholders who are affected by and affect international rules6,7

Contents of the Course
This course covers the main IMO Conventions SOLAS, MARPOL and STCW, as well as other conventions related to maritime safety and security and ship/port linkage, conventions for the prevention of marine pollution and contracts covering liability and compensation. It also includes a detailed understanding of the stakeholder groups in the maritime industry that are affected by and influence international rules.
